12.15 - 13.00 Immigration and tax requirements for expats coming to Romania
The presentation has an introductory overview of the immigration conditions that expatriates have to observe before coming to Romania. In the main part Irina will get into details of the Romanian tax and social security requirements that expats need to meet as Romanian tax residents, with examples from her day to day experience. Questions are welcome.
About the Speaker
Irina joined PwC Romania in April 2006 and currently is a manager within the International Mobility Team. She is a graduate of Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Faculty of Business Economics and Administration and Faculty of Finance, Banking and Stock Exchange. Irina holds a Master Degree in The European Union Policies .
She is a certified member of the Tax Consultants Chamber in Romania since October 2011 and a future holder of the Advance Diploma of International Taxation of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK. She is specialised in individual tax and social security consultancy and in immigration compliance related to foreign individuals assigned to work in Romania. Furthermore, she has expertise on Private Client Services (HNWI) providing advice on tax implications on real estate investments, capital gains, pension plans, personal tax planning and compliance and voluntary tax disclosure.
She is an active member of the Romanian Tax Consultants Chamber and of the Task Forces of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania for the purpose of amending the Romanian tax legislation.
Irina is a native speaker of Romanian, fluent in English and has good knowledge of French and Spanish.
