The First Edition of the Expat Fair in Romania took place on Saturday, the 3rd of October at The Ark.

A historical building in the former neighborhood of Uranus, close to the House of People and next to the old flower market.

The location, built in 1898 and practically rebuilt in 2008, is a highly versatile event venue displaying a spectacular clash between old & modern architecture.

One of the reasons why we chose this location was to show to the expats a not very well known side of Bucharest.

60 Companies
400 Participants
8 Workshops

More than 60 companies with tailored services for expats and 400 visitors (internationals living in Bucharest and Romanians alike) were gathered under the same roof in a friendly atmosphere.

The eight different topics workshops, organised by City Compass in collaboration with their partners, offered to the visitors the chance to discover interesting insights about living and working in Romania.

Agenda: 10 AM-18 PM + Networking Session

The event started at 10 AM and ended around 8 PM with a casual networking session. The welcome message was held by Volker Moser, partner and co-founder of the City Compass Group and the Networking session was sponsored by their supporters Bauer Winery, Ursus, Aqua Carpatica and BĂCĂNIA ROD.

During the event, all the participants had the chance to interact with people with similar interests and with companies that could provide them customized services for their needs.

The access to the fair and to the workshops was possible with a ticket that could have been purchased online or at the venue on the day of the event.
